Darkness Swallows (poem)

Dying each minute when the sun comes down
The night isnt an escape
The cool darkness leaves you
Drowning in your unrelinquished sorrow
No one to stroke your hair
And say those beautiful lies
That everything once more will be alright
Youre a broken person
With no way to ease the horrid pain
You cant outrun yourself
Or your thinly cloaked demons
Youll always be you
And the night unleashes
What the sun tried to hide
